Skrreean language was the language spoken by the Skrreea. The language had a very unique syntax and grammatical structure, and was unlike any other language in Starfleet's database prior to First Contact with the species in 2370.

Deep Space 9's universal translator initially had difficulty analyzing its language patterns, and the first Skrreean visitors to the station were made to keep talking so that the computer could establish a translation matrix. (DS9: "Sanctuary")
