Dame Jean Conan Doyle (21 December 1912 – 18 November 1997; age 84) was the second daughter of A. Conan Doyle. She received credit in the end credits of the Star Trek: The Next Generation sixth season episode "Ship In A Bottle". The use of the Sherlock Holmes characters in this episode were arranged with her. She also received credit for the use of the characters in the 1991 television documentary Star Trek 25th Anniversary Special.
Born as Jean Lena Annette Conan Doyle, she served thirty years in the Women's Royal Air Force and attained the rank of Air Commandant. Between 1964 and 1983, she was married to Sir Geoffrey Bromet. In 1970, following the death of her brother Adrian Conan Doyle, she became the legal copyright holder of her father's creations.
