Template:Realworld Jason Bonnell is a location scout who, very early in production, worked on Star Trek by photographing some possibilities in New Mexico. No locations were ever actually chosen there, though.
Bonnell has spent 20 years in restaurant and hospitality businesses, and has worked as an executive chef and as a general manager for hotels and restaurants. He also owned his own catering company. In addition, he has spent 6 years as Media Liaison at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix.
He was a Craft Services Assistant in the 2006 film Employee of the Month (featuring Andy Dick and Sean Whalen). He then served as Assistant Location Manager on the films Wild Hogs and The Eye, working with Becky Brake on both productions. He was also a location scout on The Eye. He has scouted locations for the USA Network series In Plain Sight, as well.
More recently, Bonnell has scouted locations for the romantic drama film Love N' Dancing, directed by Robert Iscove. In addition, he was Assistant Location Manager on the western Appaloosa and the thriller Not Forgotten, the latter of which stars Mark Rolston. Bonnell is currently working as Assistant Location Manager on Saint John of Las Vegas, a comedy-drama film which, like Star Trek, features John Cho in the cast.
