Jarren was a Drayan male from the planet Drayan II.

In 2372, Jarren was one of five Drayan children sent to a Drayan moon to die. Jarren and Fayla were the first two that disappeared prior to the arrival of Tuvok to the moon. The three remaining children, Tressa, Elani and Corin, told Tuvok of their missing companions and how they were taken by a creature called the morrok, while they slept. Tuvok would later learn that they had not been taken by the morrok, but had rather died naturally. (VOY: "Innocence")
