Jarleth's species was a species native to the Delta Quadrant. Their homeworld was largely desert.

Several years prior to 2373, Jarleth, a member of this species, was abducted along with his crew by Nyrians who stole his ship, and incarcerated him in their biosphere vessel. He later made contact with the crew of the USS Voyager, and cooperated in their mutual escape. (VOY: "Displaced")
