Japanese brush writing is a form of art performed by the Japanese Humans.

Keiko O'Brien's grandmother, whom she called obachan, used an ink brush to perform Japanese brush writing. In 2368 Keiko remembered this during a telepathic memory retrieval performed by the Ullian Tarmin on her. (TNG: "Violations")
