Janine Ellen Young is an author and English teacher.

With her MA in Literature from UCLA, she teaches English and speculative fiction classes at Santa Monica College in California.

She has published two novels, Cinderblock (1997) and The Bridge (2000).

In 2000, she co-wrote "Avalon Rising" for WildStorm Comics with her husband Doselle Young. The book retold several Star Trek: Voyager stories but set them in medieval times instead.
