Janaran Falls

A carving of the Janaran Falls.

Janaran Falls was a waterfall on the planet Betazed.

It was one of William T. Riker's and Deanna Troi's (and therefore Thomas Riker's) favorite views on Betazed.

While trapped on Nervala IV, Thomas Riker made a phaser beam carving of it in metal for Troi. It was the third of three tries, as he originally found it difficult to create a fine enough beam. (TNG: "Second Chances")

In 2402, Federation starship USS Janaran bore a name similar to that of the Betazed landmark. (PIC: "The Last Generation")
