Janice "Jan" Rudolph worked as script supervisor on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. J. Rudolph, a name on the dedication plaque of Enterprise NX-01, was named after her.

Rudolph started to work as script supervisor in the '80s with credits on the science fiction horror film The Next (1988), the thriller The Drifter (1988), the science fiction film Nightfall (1988, starring David Birney), the television drama Margaret Bourke-White (1989), the fantasy comedy Teen Witch (1989, with Dan Gauthier), the science fiction comedy The Return of Swamp Thing (1989, with Dick Durock), and the comedy Homer and Eddie (1989, starring Whoopi Goldberg). Further credits include the horror musical Rockula (1990), the action thriller Tripwire (1990), the comedy Side Out (1990), the television western El Diablo (1990), the action film Kabuto (1991), the horror film Sleepwalkers (1992, starring Alice Krige and Mädchen Amick), the television series MacGyver (1991-1992), the television thriller Double Jeopardy (1992), the television movie Texarkana (1998), the drama series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993-1998, starring Joe Lando and Chad Allen), the television comedy Emma's Wish (1998), the short western The Magnificent Seven (1999), and Ben Stiller's television drama Heat Vision and Jack (1999).

Following her collaboration with Star Trek, Rudolph worked as script supervisor on the science fiction mini series The Lost Room (2006, with Dennis Christopher and April Grace), the horror comedy Undead or Alive (2007), the drama Intervention (2007), the television comedy Husband for Hire (2008), the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles pilot episode (2008, with Thomas Dekker and assistant production coordinator Eric Matsumoto), the horror thriller The Eye (2008), the horror film Living Hell (2008), the drama series Breaking Bad (2008), the television drama Sex and Lies in Sin City (2008), the horror thriller A Perfect Getaway (2009, with Chris Hemsworth), the comedy series Easy Money (2009), the war drama Brothers (2009, with Clifton Collins, Jr.), the action comedy The Spy Next Door (2010), and the action comedy MacGruber (2010).

More recently she worked as script supervisor on the drama This Must Be the Place (2011), The Lying Game pilot episode (2011, with Mitchell Ryan), the comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012, with Mark Moses, Jim O'Heir, Roger Aaron Brown, Gary J. Wayton, and Monica Staggs), and the comedy 21 and Over (2012).
