James Worthy (born 27 February 1961; age 63) played basketball at the University of North Carolina from 1979-82. He led the Tar Heels to the NCAA Championship in 1982, along with fellow teammate Michael Jordan. Selected first in the 1983 NBA Draft by the L.A. Lakers, he went on to win three Championships with that team in 1984-85, 1986-87 and 1987-88.
Standing at six feet, nine inches (206 cm) tall, Worthy played the tallest-ever Klingon in Star Trek, as Koral in TNG: "Gambit, Part II". Worthy met Robert O'Reilly on a plane flight and it was O'Reilly who persuaded him to appear on The Next Generation.[1]
