James Brown (often credited as "J. Brown") is a comic book color artist. He began working in the industry in the early 1990s working on a variety of titles before settling on Thunderbolts, Transformers, and G.I. Joe.

He did extra color work on "Alien Spotlight: Tribbles" for IDW Publishing. He also did the full color work on the final issue of the second volume, "Alien Spotlight: Cardassians".
