James Blish wrote many novelisations of TOS. He was the first to do so under Bantam Books. Novelizations he adapted include "Arena", "The Return of the Archons", "Who Mourns for Adonais?", "Charlie X" and "The Man Trap".
He also wrote the first original Bantam novel, "Spock Must Die."
