For the orchestrator, please see Jack Hayes (orchestrator).

Jack Hayes was an Ohio farmer living in the United States of America during the early 20th century.

In 1937, while driving his Ford truck down a road, Hayes was abducted from Earth by an alien species called the Briori, and taken, along with three hundred other Humans, to an unnamed class L planet in the Delta Quadrant. Hayes' truck was jettisoned out into space in the Delta Quadrant and abandoned.

Hayes and seven of the other abductees were put in cryogenic stasis. Hayes and the others came to be known to the abductees' descendants as the 37's. They remained in stasis until the crew of the USS Voyager revived them in 2371.

After being revived, Hayes chose to remain with the Human settlement on the planet when Voyager left to resume its journey back to the Alpha Quadrant, regarding the land around the planet as the perfect place for him to establish the farm that he'd always wanted. (VOY: "The 37's")

Jack Hayes was played by Mel Winkler in his only Star Trek appearance.
