Iresine Syndrome was a medical condition first diagnosed in the 23rd century, in which victims fell into a coma. A very rare neurological disorder, it was characterized by electropathic residue and decreased histamine count.

Telepathic memory invasion committed by the Ullian memory historian Jev in 2368 was misdiagnosed as Iresine Syndrome on a number of worlds he had previously visited. This diagnosis was ruled out by Dr. Crusher as the victims did not present decreased histamine counts. (TNG: "Violations")
