Irene Hansen (2377)
Irene Hansen was a Human woman who owned a farm on Earth in the 24th century. Her brother was Federation scientist Magnus Hansen and the sister-in-law of Erin Hansen.
In the 2350s, her niece Annika often stayed in her house while her parents went away.
In 2377, she contacted Starfleet asking them to tell the USS Voyager that she would like to contact her niece, ex-Borg Seven of Nine. Starfleet informed her, and she contacted Irene soon after. The two of them discussed Seven when she was a little girl. (VOY: "Author, Author")
Irene Hansen was played by actress Lorinne Vozoff. The character was named for Irene Browne, mother of episode co-writer Mike Sussman. (Information provided by Mike Sussman)
