An ionic disruption field is a type of energy field that prevents transporter use within its area of effect.
In 2373, the Ferengi Arridor modified the matter-antimatter generator from his Ferengi pod to create an ionic disruption field around their temple to prevent the USS Voyager from beaming him or Kol away. (VOY: "False Profits")
