An interlink tranceiver was, according to Jean-Luc Picard, a part of a Borg drone's interlink system that used "some kind of phased pulse technology". One of its key systems was what Geordi La Forge called "phase modulation circuitry". He and Picard used this circuitry to adapt a stolen transceiver into a Kedion pulse generator, with which they were subsequently able to reboot some of Data's ethical subroutines, and thereby break Lore's hold on his brother.
