The Indri system was an uninhabited planetary system in the Beta Quadrant. This system was first identified by Federation starships in 2309. A planet of this system, Indri VIII, was classified as L class and, though it had no animal life, it did have deciduous vegetation. The ecosystem of this planet was destroyed by a plasma reaction in 2369. (TNG: "The Chase")
In "The Chase", the location of Indri VIII was pointed out by Professor Galen from a star chart of the Milky Way Galaxy.
