Garak and Worf investigate a message which suggests that Cardassian Intelligence master Enabran Tain is still alive. (Part 1 of 2)
Summary
When Deep Space Nine receives a coded Cardassian message from the Gamma Quadrant, sent by Enabran Tain, Worf and Garak are sent to rescue him. After hiding in a nebula to avoid detection, they find a Dominion fleet that is preparing to invade the Alpha Quadrant.
On Deep Space Nine, a Founder impersonating a member of the crew surrupticiously undertakes a mission of sabotage.
Background Information
- This episode marks the first appearance of the real Martok.
- When Worf and Garak meet Bashir in Internment Camp 371, he is wearing the old style uniform. This means that the Changeling performed brain surgery on Sisko in "Rapture" and delivered Kirayoshi O'Brien in "The Begotten."
