Imutta was a vedek serving in the Bajoran temple on Deep Space 9's Promenade in 2372. When Akorem Laan briefly took on the role of Emissary, and advocated the return of the D'jarra system, Imutta was killed by Vedek Porta after refusing to leave the order. His family Imutta's D'jarra was to prepare the dead for burial, which Porta considered unclean and unsuited for work as a vedek.
