Feinberg was assigned to Strategic Operations on stardate 49295 as part of Leyton's attempted military coup in 2372. (DS9: "Paradise Lost")

Feinberg's name was visible on a personnel assignment list viewed by Captain Sisko. This character appears to have been named after Star Trek's original property master Irving Feinberg.
