Chief Humboldt was a 24th Century Starfleet technician who worked in the Computer Center on Starbase 11.
In 2266, Humboldt caught and attempted to prevent Commander Spock from illegally forging voice tapes, in his plot to commandeer the USS Enteprise. Spock was subsequently successful in his attempt and Humboldt was incapacitated for his troubles. (TOS: "The Menagerie")
