Kor in 2267

The House of Kor was a Klingon family of high social and political rank and one of the Great Houses in the Klingon Empire. It was descended from the Klingon Imperial family. (DS9: "Once More Unto the Breach")

By the 23rd century, due to the House of Kor's impeccable aristocratic lineage, its members tended to be elitist – biased against members of lesser Houses, and even treating some Klingons as social outcasts. In contrast, the lesser House of T'Kuvma welcomed as equals the kind of lowborns and outcasts that the House Kor rejected. (DIS: "The Vulcan Hello") Even in the early 24th century, its aristocratic leanings were seen as reactionary even compared to other Great Houses. (DS9: "Soldiers of the Empire")

In 2256, the House of Kor was led by Kol-Sha and his son Kol, who represented the house on the Klingon High Council. (DIS: "The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry", "Point of Light") Though Kol-Sha's bid to depose the newly-installed Chancellor L'Rell ended in his death, the House was not dishonored – L'Rell instead chose to claim that Kol-Sha had died defending her, in a move to strengthen Imperial unity. (DIS: "Point of Light")

Kor, son of Rynar, was the last son of the House of Kor, and his death in 2375 marked the end of the House. (DS9: "Once More Unto the Breach")
