A holocomic is a form of graphic novel that employs holographic technology to make the experience more real. They were inspired by ancient Earth comics, which were printed on paper.
When Tom Paris was a child, his family Doctor, "Doc Brown" always kept holocomics in his waiting room, and they were never more than six months old. (VOY: "Cathexis")
