Holberg 917G was a small planet in the Omega system. It was located in the Beta Quadrant. (TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah", TNG: "Conspiracy")
In 2239, this planet was purchased by a private concern, a gentleman named Mr. Brack. This was later revealed to be one of many aliases of the planet's only inhabitant, Flint the immortal, when the Federation starship USS Enterprise visited in 2269. The planet is home to a large quantity of natural ryetalyn. (TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah")
Background
Edit
Holberg 917G had two moons, although – in the original matte painting – only one was depicted. The planet might also be the moon of the other planet.
This depiction of Flint's home was a re-use of the matte painting executed for "The Cage".
Holberg 917G also appeared as a small note on a very large star chart graphic created for TNG: "Conspiracy". It was the image behind the chair in the room where Dexter Remmick was killed. It appears to be located within an outlined block, which may indicate that it was surrounded or was even a part of Federation territory at the time. It appears to be near Sol, Alpha Centauri, and Tau Ceti.
