Hoek IV was the fourth planet in the Hoek system, located in the Lantar Nebula, and home to the Sampalo relics. Q offered to take Vash to see the relics in 2369, but she refused. (DS9: "Q-Less")
Hoek IV was a reference to Ren Höek of the series Ren and Stimpy. (Star Trek Encyclopedia)
According to Startrek.com, the pronunciation for Hoek was "HOE-ik". [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pg. 74), the Hoek system was located in non-aligned space. This system was a single star system. Primary was a Class M star with a magnitude of +5, which was the same brightness as Sol.
