"Hey Joe" was a song performed by the Human music group known as The Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1967.

When Miles O'Brien and Kira Nerys briefly transported into that year, the Hendrix version of the song "Hey Joe" was playing loudly from a nearby van. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part II")
