Hercule-Savinien De Cyrano de Bergerac was a 17th century French dramatist, who is also the lead character in the play Cyrano de Bergerac.

In 2367, Beverly Crusher did an adaptation of this play in which she gave the role of Cyrano de Bergerac to Reginald Barclay. (TNG: "The Nth Degree")
