Hemikek IV, or, more simply, Hemikek, was the inhabited M-class fourth planet in the Hemikek system. This world, rich in minerals, was located in the Delta Quadrant. In the 2370s, the planets' mining rights belonged to a consortium of nonaggressive people.

In 2372, Seska told USS Voyager crewmember Michael Jonas, who was covertly spying for the Kazon-Nistrim, about a plan to capture the ship, which would include her waiting for Voyager at Hemikek IV. (VOY: "Lifesigns")

Shortly after, Jonas sabotaged Voyager and the ship was forced to divert to Hemikek IV in order to acquire some much needed verterium cortenide and monocrystal cortenum. The Kazon-Nistrim were waiting to ambush them there with ground troops. Fortunately, Voyager was alerted of the plan and avoided the trap. (VOY: "Investigations")

According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 85), the Hemikek system was located in non-aligned space between the Vidiian Sodality and the Kazon Collective. The system's primary was a G-class star.
