The Heinlein listed on a LCARS display
The Heinlein was a Federation Type 15 shuttlepod that was in service to Starfleet in the latter half of the 24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D. It was shuttlepod number 08.
Early in 2366, the Heinlein was listed on the shuttlebay operations display as being tested in Hangar 2. (TNG: "Evolution")
A photograph of a Type 7 shuttlecraft labeled Heinlein appeared in a magazine published by Starlog for the Next Generation. It's not known if this shuttle ever appeared in an episode.
