Healthcare refers to the diagnosis, management as well as treatment and prevention of illness, disease and injury through services offered by various medical professions.

In 2375, Brunt told Quark that Grand Nagus Zek had began to introduce several reforms to the Ferengi Alliance. The introduction of social programs, one of which was healthcare, was part of those reforms. Quark was furious as all these programs, financed by taxes, went against the very spirit of free enterprise. (DS9: "The Dogs of War")
