Harley Venton (born 11 November 1953; age 58) is the actor who played Ensign Collins in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Ensign Ro" in 1991. He filmed his scenes for this episode on Tuesday 6 August 1991 on Paramount Stage 9. The same year, he returned to play the role of Transporter Chief Hutchinson in the fifth season episode "Hero Worship" for which he filmed his scenes on Friday 25 October 1991 on Paramount Stage 9. On the call sheet for the latter episode he is listed as Harley Vinton.

Venton was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, USA.
