Gregory "Greg" N. Stuhl (born 3 February 1957; age 67) is a model and miniature maker who worked for Gregory Jein, Inc. on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
A relative latecomer int he motion picture industry, and holding a Batchelor's degree in Industrial Design from the California State University, Long Beach, Stuhl's tenure at Gregory Jein, Inc. was his first recorded professional employment. For Jein, Stuhl also worked on Journey to the Center of the Earth (1993, with Don Greenberg, Simon Holden, Adam Howard, Scott Rader, Laurie Resnick, and Joe White), the television movie Viper (1994), The Shadow (1994). He then worked as model maker for companies such as Boss Film Studios, Thunderstone Model Shop and Sony Pictures IMageworks Inc. on films such as Stargate (1994), Batman Forever (1995), Independence Day (1996) and Starship Troopers (1997), What Lies Beneath (2000), Hollow Man (2000), Charlie's Angels (2000), Spider-Man (2002), and Stuart Little 2 (2002).
In 2001, Stuhl joined Asylum Visual Effects as lead CGI modeler. His credits with this company include The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), National Treasure (2004), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Déjà Vu (2006), Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007), National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Friday the 13th (2009), Terminator Salvation (2009), The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010), and Unstoppable (2011).
More recently, after Asylum Visual Effects went out of business in late 2010 [1], he worked for Method Studios L.A. on This Means War (2012, starring Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) and Cloud Atlas (2012).
