Glycogen was a polysaccharide that was the principal storage form of glucose in Human and animal cells.
In 2374, The Doctor determined that Seven of Nine required a dietary content of glycoproteins consisting of 53% polypeptides and 26% fibrous glycogen when she started to ingest food after her release from the Borg Collective. (VOY: "The Raven")
