Amargosa Diaspora — The Enterprise-D deep within the Amargosa Diaspora, a globular cluster.

A globular cluster is a kind of stellar cluster, so named because of its roughly spherical shape. Starship navigation within a globular cluster can be difficult because of gravimetric interference.

In 2369, the USS Enterprise-D charted a globular cluster, the Amargosa Diaspora. (TNG: "Schisms")
