Lieutenant j.g. Gleason

Gleason, 2367

Ensign Gleason

Lieutenant junior grade Gleason was a Starfleet officer assigned to the USS Enterprise-D in 2367.

In 2367, Gleason was part of the operations division, where he served at the ops position on the battle bridge while the Enterprise-D was separated during the confrontation with the Borg. Along with Commander Shelby and Lieutenant Worf, he was part of an away team which transported to inspect the Borg cube after Data caused the Borg to enter a regeneration cycle. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II")

Later that year, Gleason, now holding the rank of an ensign, was working at one of the science stations on the bridge. He detected subspace fluctuations on Alpha Onias III, initially believed to be Romulan in origin. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")

Gleason was played by Todd Merrill.
Gleason originally appeared as a "Lt. j.g." in his first appearance, however, would appear to have been demoted to "ensign" in his second appearance. It is also possible that one or the other is a uniform error.
