Glamis Castle is a castle from the 13th century, located in the Earth region of Scotland.
The castle, once the home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and her ancestors the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorn, was once visited by Maturin and his family and he immediately felt "as if he'd come home". In later years, this visit proved very important when he decided to become governor of the Caldos colony. (TNG: "Sub Rosa")
