In 2365 he held the rank of captain and was the commanding officer of the USS Neil Armstrong. (TNG: "The Measure Of A Man")
LaDue was named for TNG assistant director Gere LaDue.
This character was never mentioned in dialog; his name came from a Starship Deploy Status chart seen on Starbase 173.
