George Coe played the role of Chancellor Avel Durken in TNG: "First Contact".

George Coe was one of the original cast members on Saturday Night Live, appearing in the series' first three episodes in 1975.

George Coe starred in The Doctors with future TNG and DS9 cast members Nana Visitor (1980-1981) and Jonathan Frakes (1977-1978). George starred in Sommerset (1971-1972) other Star Trek guest were Michael Nouri (1974-1975), Barry Jenner(1974-1976) and Marc Alaimo(1972-1973).

He acted with Marc Alaimo and Christopher Sarandon in Broken Promise in 1981. The same year he starred with Christopher Plummer in The Amateur. In 1983 he acted with John Glover in Rage of Angels. A year later he starred with James Cromwell, Patricia McNulty and Joe Piscopo in The House of God.
