Howard "Gene" Day (1952 – 23 September 1982) was a Canadian comic book artist. He began his career in 1974 as an independent, and made his name self-publishing before joining Marvel Comics in 1976. With Marvel, he was best known for his work on Master of Kung Fu and Star Wars. He worked on three issues of Marvel's Star Trek line. His brothers Dan and David were also comic book artists.
After his death, two of his co-creators, Dave Sim and Gerhard (of Cerebus the Aardvark) created a memorial award, given for outstanding achievement in self-publishing.
