Gedrin was a Vaadwaur. He was frozen in stasis until woken by crew from the USS Voyager.
After coming out of stasis, Gedrin release the other Vaadwaur still alive in stasis. He would die while helping to save Voyager from a Vaadwaur attack. (VOY: Dragon's Teeth)
