Commander Gatsby was a Starfleet officer that served aboard the USS Olympia under Captain Lisa Cusak.

Gatsby died in 2371 when the Olympia was destroyed while investigating an energy barrier around the fourth planet of a star system in the Rutharian sector. (DS9: "The Sound of Her Voice")
