A galactic cluster is a grouping of galaxies held together by gravitaional attraction. Such groupings may include hundreds or even thousands of galaxies. Our own galaxy, the Milky Way, is part of a small grouping called the Local Group. This, in turn, is part of the Local Cluster (of galaxies).
