The Gal Gath'thong was a famous mountain range in the southern hemisphere of Romulus where rivers of fire spew over enormous cliff-faces. Many Romulan families travel to this part of the world to see the enchanting 'spray' as the sun rises over the horizon. (TNG: "The Defector")
