G4 is a male-oriented network (formerly videogame-oriented) which started airing Star Trek: The Next Generation in January 2006 and Star Trek: The Original Series in April 2006 as Star Trek 2.0. It only airs The Next Generation after 8:00 PM EST due to Spike TV having the rights to air it in the morning and afternoon. The Original Series also airs in "Uncut Marathons" on Saturdays which apparently include extra footage from the episode, but are likely the original versions before the many syndication cuts were made over the years.
