Kirk surrounded by Tribbles

Kirk among a number of furry tribbles

Fur was the name for the body hair of non-Human mammals.

One example of a creature with fur was the Tarcassian razor beast, which was a winged, furry animal noted for the spines on its wings and its loping way of locomotion. When she was a child, Guinan had an imaginary one as a pet. In her mind it had dark brown fur, gold eyes, and enormous wings that let it fly so fast no one but her could see it. (TNG: "Imaginary Friend")

Tribbles were small, round, furry, non-intelligent lifeforms originating from Iota Geminorum IV. (ENT: "The Breach")

When discussing tribbles in 2268, Spock noted to Dr. McCoy that while they were "nice, soft, and furry and they make a pleasant sound", a violin covered in ermine would be the same, and he would "see no advantage in having one." (TOS: "The Trouble with Tribbles")

In the 22nd century, Klingon uniforms were brown and leather-based and Klingons of this time period would often be seen in animal skins and furs. (ENT: "Broken Bow")

The sehlat was a giant fur-covered "teddy bear"-like beast native to Vulcan. (ENT: "The Forge")

Both Garth of Izar and Anton Karidian wore furred robes. (TOS: "The Conscience of the King", "Whom Gods Destroy")

The actors for both of these roles actually wore the same robe from costuming.
Mugato

The Mugato on Neural was a white-furred predatory ape with a lethally poisonous bite. (TOS: "A Private Little War")

In the 2360s, William T. Riker wore furs when he spoke with the leadership council on Kabatris. (TNG: "Angel One")

The Anticans were a large, furry, sentient humanoid species from the planet Antica in the Beta Renner system. (TNG: "Tapestry", "Lonely Among Us")

A few Anticans were at Starbase Earhart's Bonestell Recreation Facility in 2327. (TNG: "Tapestry")

One of Anya's abilities as an allasomorph was to change forms, one of which was as a fierce creature covered in fur. (TNG: "The Dauphin")

One of the youths living at the settlement on Gaia, Gabriel, told Worf that he wanted to join the "Klingons" so that he could ride a wild torga, hunt, and trade furs for the things he needed, as the other "Klingons" did. (DS9: "Children of Time")

When the crew of the USS Enterprise-E discovered the android B-4, he asked simple questions including "Why does the tall man have a furry face?" (Star Trek Nemesis)

The Tellarite councilor in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home wore robes originally created for the white-furred Kazarite from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
