For some reason my macbook pro running 10.5.6 is unable to connect to memory-alpha.org no matter what I have tried. I have used firefox 3.5b4, safari and even virtualized internet explorer running in vmware fusion. My ping tests running from the network system prefs pane fails as well when trying to connect as well. I would assume it was some kind of virus but it doesn't effect any other site. On my other computer running Vista Sp1 I have no problem reaching this site, even my blackberry running on wi-fi can reach the site. I have cleared the dns settings on my mac, reset my router, and even looked at my hosts file on my mac without any success. I have even attempted to connect my macbook pto directly to my modem over ethernet with no success with memory-alpha. This doesn't seem to effect any other site that I have tested. What's going on?? What else can I do??

One of our administrators recently had this problem. I'm not sure what he did to fix it... assuming he did anything. He might have just waited it out. That might be what you need to do. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, just wanted to let you know this has happened before, so you're not the only one. :) --From Andoria with Love 02:49, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
