I think this has already been brought up on some talk page, but here it is again, for all to see:

There's an option in the preferences (Preferences -> Files) that allows any user to specify a preferred thumbnail size between 120px and 300px. For that option to have an effect, the image link must not specify an image width (as in "...|thumb|right|125px|...").

• Unless there are very good reasons to specify a size, please don't. It's just annoying for other users with other screen resolutions.
• "It looks good on my screen" is not a good reason... ;)
• While editing, watch out for such specifications and remove them while you're at it.
