Some time ago (long time ago) I was reading the Wikipedia article about slash fiction (for purely academic reasons, I assure you >.>), and there was a picture of one of the Star Trek novels and the caption stated that it contained some gay themes and mused on whether it should be considered cannon or not. Recently I came back to that page and found the pic had been removed. I'm fairly sure it was TNG but can't remember what the name was. Does anyone know which novel it might have been?

There are no canon novels at all. As far as gay themed books, there are none that I am aware of. There are novels that have a few gay characters such as New Frontier (I think the vulcan is gay) as well as a TNG novel that contains a short section about two gay crew members Rogue as well as Pathways and The Best and the Brightest which features lesbian characters. — Morder (talk) 06:36, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you would call Selar in New Frontier gay- her mate is a member of a hermaphrodite species.--31dot 08:46, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
There's also T'Prynn in Star Trek: Vanguard.– Cleanse 09:20, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
I think I was thinking of the Vanguard series then. — Morder (talk) 09:49, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
