I am wondering whether there is anything cannon to speak of Spock's activities between the years 2370-2387? I have been cross referencing and wondering what led to, prior to the alternate reality creation, Spock's activities involving the supernova if there is a 17 year gap. First, it's "canon", not "cannon". The short answer is no- I believe the writers of the movie simply picked up from where "Unification I" and "Unification II" left off in terms of what Spock was doing.
